Wireless connections will be upgraded and replaced on various floors of the Law Library on Thursday morning, November 1.  Wireless connectivity will be interrupted during this time.

Law Library 7th Floor Update

The 7th floor of the Law Library is closed to all library patrons and will not re-open until the roof is replaced (projected completion date is January 2009).

In the interim, 7th floor material is being relocated to other floors within the Law Library.

If you require assistance with any material that is on the 7th floor, please see a librarian.

A small exhibit in honor of Professor Jacob D. Hyman is on display in the Law Library. The exhibit is located in the case standing just inside the Library's entrance on the 2nd Floor of O'Brian Hall. (more)

Law Library Wireless Problems

We are experiencing some problems with our wireless network. The Law School's wireless network is comprised of two distinct IP ranges. Patrons who login to one IP range and move to another location in the Law Library may be dropped from the wireless network if they happen to cross into the other IP range. We have been advised that this problem is being addressed.

Law Library 7th Floor Closure

The 7th floor of the Law Library is closed and will not reopen until the O'Brian Roof Replacement Project is complete. The expected completion date is Fall 2008. At present, we are relocating most of the materials held on the 7th floor to other floors in the law library and a small portion to the libraries annex. Library patrons in need of 7th floor materials are advised to seek assistance from a reference librarian until we relocate the materials and the update the Law Library maps. Affected Law Library call numbers are: A-J, KK-Z, Oversize, and AF-UK (Foreign Law Collection).
