Law Librarian Joe Gerken Publishes Book on Scalia

William S. Hein & Co. has published "What Good is Legislative History? Justice Scalia in the Federal Courts of Appeals" by Joseph Gerken, a Reference Librarian at the University at Buffalo Law Library.
Justice Scalia is an outspoken critic of legislative history. This book examines over two hundred court of appeals opinions, to discern Justice Scalia's influence on judges confronted with the question whether to use legislative history in construing statutes.
