how to connect to color laser printers in the Libraries

Here are easy directions to connect to the color laser printers. These directions are for the Windows XP operating system:

  1. Press Start
  2. Printers and Faxes
  3. Add a printer
  4. Next
  5. Choose "A network printer..."
  6. Choose "Connect to this printer..."  and copy and paste or type in the printer name from the list below.  The names are not case sensitive, and there are no spaces in the string.  The first part of the information is strictly the location.  The string you will enter begins with \\

  1. Select yes or no for making the color laser your default printer. If it is your only printer, or the printer you will use most, choose Yes.
