Announcements and Discussion Topics:
- Steve Roberts announced that planning for the renovation of 420 (Special Collections) is continuing.
- The hiring priorities for 06/07 were briefly discussed. A full discussion was postponed.
- The process for allocating discretionary raise increase funds was considered.
- It was decided that the “23 things” to learn regarding web 2.0 would be sent to the Staff Development Committee for consideration as the basis for a potential staff development program.
- Karen Senglaup and John Edens gave updates on the move of the materials from Lockwood B-9 to the Annex.
- Judy Adams-Volpe distributed a case statement for the creation of learning laboratories and a PR piece on the Bruner collection for review.
- Margie Wells updated the group on the success of the second annual Library Liaison summit.
- John Edens and Nancy Nuzzo presented proposals for RBDB grant applications. Proposals for the digitization of issues of The Spectrum and a continuation of the digitizing of the Darwin Martin materials were approved.
- Directors Council will meet on June 26th. The July 3rd meeting is cancelled.
