about SDTC
committee charge
The Staff Development and Training Committee (SDTC) is a direct mandate by the Strategic Planning Action Group on: Giving staff the freedom to use their judgement and to accept responsibility, and to take appropriate action. The SDTC implements and oversees training opportunities to promote a well-trained and educated staff capable of making informed decisions in the workplace.
conducting business
- The Chair coordinates all SDTC activities. He or she sends meeting reminders, sets the agenda, and conducts meetings.
- The Secretary of the SDTC writes meeting notes which list decision/action points and and makes certain they are posted to the staffWEB in a timely fashion.
meeting schedule
Meetings are typically held twice a month. Members should inform the Chair in advance when they are not able to attend meetings. Members who show a lack of interest in the activities of the committee by chronic absenteeism, or lack of participation in committee projects and events, will stop receiving meeting notification and be replaced.
