Resolutions On the Use of PR (Professional) Lines for Librarians
Adopted at the Quarterly Faculty Meeting, February 26, 1987
Resolved, that the Libraries Faculty urges the Libraries Administration to adopt a policy that all positions for which the MLS is required be recruited with faculty status.

Furthermore be it resolved that we the faculty, in accordance with SUNY policies, request the Library Administration not convert lines from faculty to professional rank.

Furthermore we strongly urge the Library Administration to consider reclassifying these librarians presently on professional rank lines to faculty rank lines.
