The annual election cycle begins in January and concludes before the May semi-annual faculty meeting. Committee members determine the exact schedule in early January and mail the faculty an election packet containing an election calendar, a current roster, and a declination/affirmation form.
Declination/affirmation forms are mailed annually in mid-to late January. Returns are expected in two weeks. The elections for the three standing committees (Appointment, Promotion and Tenure, Faculty Executive Committee, and Faculty Senate) are scheduled for several weeks between each other, with two weeks to hold the election itself.
meetings
Meetings of the Faculty Elections Committtee are called by the Chair whenever necessary to conduct business which falls under the jurisdiction of the Committee. The yearly schedule is not set in advance.
