Curriculum Vitae / Bio

My career encompasses responsibilities in management, leadership, strategic planning and human resources in the areas of outreach/liaison, research consultation and information literacy services in academic libraries. Previous positions in the University at Buffalo Libraries include: Director, Public Services & Arts & Sciences Libraries; Director, Public Services & Co-Director, Arts & Sciences Libraries; and Director of the Oscar A. Silverman Undergraduate Library.

Research / Service Area

My interests focus on the impact of new and emerging technologies on library services and spaces. I am also interested in the information-seeking behaviors of the university students of tomorrow, the post-millennial, iGeneration students now in elementary and high school.

Service Statement

Service to the Libraries, university, and profession is an essential component of academic librarianship. I presently serve on a number of committees and task forces. In the Libraries, I chair the Public Services Committee. University-wide committees include the Academic Integrity Committee, Council on International Studies and Programs, and Online Learning Collaborative. I am the current Secretary of the Western New York Library Resources Council and hold memberships in the American Library Association, Association of College & Research Libraries, and SUNY Librarians Association.
