Research / Service Area

My research interests center on how the university students of tomorrow -- the students now in  elementary and high schools -- interact with, view and use information. The influences of social media, learning styles, and technology are elements of my investigations. I am also interested in how the work environment and administrative styles influence diversity, innovation, and communication.

Service Statement

Service to the Libraries, university, and profession is an essential component of academic librarianship and my career. I presently serve on a number of committees and task forces. In the Libraries, I chair the Faculty Executive Committee and am a member of the Open Educational Resources Committee. I represent the Libraries on the Faculty Senate and also serve on the General Education and HUB Committee,  Academic Integrity Committee, Council on International Studies and Programs, and Online Learning Collaborative. I am the current Secretary of the Western New York Library Resources Council and hold memberships in the American Library Association, Association of College & Research Libraries, and SUNY Librarians Association.
