Research / Service Area

I believe that analyzing patron and scholar usage of library resources is a vital component to effective collection development, reference, and library instruction. The current, most effective methodology is the bibliometric study of author citations. This allows a librarian to look at the types of materials cited over the years and make a more educated quess as to the types and titles of items important to future researchers.
