The Ancestry Library Edition interface closely mirrors the features and functionality of the home version or private-subscription Ancestry.com. A powerful search engine, new search features, tools, and limits, and reconfigured results pages and image viewer, Ancestry Library Edition is designed to meet the needs of a diversity of researchers. The Library Edition offers thousands of databases and nearly 9 billion indexed names from key collections spanning the 14th century to present day, such as U.S. Federal Census images and indexes from 1790 to 1940; Family Trees (over two billion names in public trees), the Map Center containing more than 10 million names from historical maps; American Genealogical Biographical Index (over 200 volumes); Daughters of the American Revolution Lineage (over 150 volumes); The Great Migration Begins: Immigrants to New England, 1620-1630; Social Security Death Index (updated monthly); WWI Draft Registration Cards; Federal Slave Narratives; and a strong Civil War collection.
