RSS feeds
March 05, 2007

Welcome to our new site! Along with our new redesign, I'd like to point out a new tool we've been using a lot more lately: RSS.

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication." Think of RSS as being like an inbox for the Web, a place where all types of updated information is stored for you until you are ready to access it. Another way to look at it: it's a way of bringing the information to you. Instead of having to click on multiple blogs or news sites, or even PubMed to see if they've been updated or added new content, you can go to one place to access it.

You'll need a RSS reader. Here are some of the options:
Bloglines (my favorite)
Google Reader
Yahoo! RSS

A couple of examples of feeds:

PHHP authors in PubMed
UB Authors in PubMed
PHHP@HSL blog (this blog)
New York Times articles/Health

If you want to know more about RSS, be sure to visit the links below. As always, contact me if you want more information!
