RE: Library funding exhausted for BMC journal article publication fees
Effective today, the University Libraries funds covering costs associated with publication in BioMed Central (BMC) journals have been exhausted and these costs can no longer be supported by us. As of today, any costs of new submissions that are eventually published in BMC Journals will be the responsibility of the authors.
On March 31, 2007, there was a significant change in BMC membership options, SUNY funding sources, and increased fees. At that time, the UB Libraries committed $18,000 to provide about an additional year's worth of publication fees in hopes that other funding sources might become available. No other funding has developed since last year.
Please contact Austin Booth (habooth@buffalo.edu) if you have any questions or comments.

Something New!
February 07, 2008
Search Multiple Databases Simultaneously!
The UB Libraries has launched Multi Search enabling you to search up to 100 of the library's online databases as well as the library's BISON Catalog simultaneously with a single intuitive interface.
Prior to the launch of Multi Search, you could only search library databases one at a time. The new Multi Search interface improves access to an array of research resources that the library offers including full-text articles from hundreds of magazines, newspapers and journals.
Try the Health and Biological Sciences Multi Search, or specifically Nursing, where you can search CINAHL, Medline, PsycInfo, ERIC, and other databases simultaneously.
As always, contact me if you have any questions.
