IMPORTANT: Non-bibliographic citation databases generally are excluded from this listing. This table assumes basic knowledge of EndNote and internet browser operations. Connection Files for UB subscription databases WILL NOT work when your are off the UB computing network.

  Natural Product Updates In Natural Product Updates: Not available.
In Endnote: Must manually input citation in EndNote, OR, most citations can be retrieved and automatically downloaded into EndNote from SciFinder Scholar.

  Nature Journals In Nature Journals: Can import only one citation at a time and only if abstract is available. On results page, click on 'abstract" link under article title. Click on 'Export Citation' in right-hand column. Select desired EndNote library and click 'Open'.
In Endnote: Exports directly into EndNote. OR, To download sets of citations, use EndNote Import features in Web of Science, BIOSIS Previews, or other abstracting & indexing databases that cover the Nature journals of interest.

  NBER Working Papers In NBER Working Papers: The database allows direct export to EndNote, but only one record at a time. Steps: Click on an individual record, at the bottom of that record click on 'RIS', and select EndNote database you want record exported to.
In Endnote: Exports directly into EndNote.

  NCJSR Abstracts Database In NCJSR Abstracts Database: Mark desired records. Click on 'Download' and save file as a Text file (i.e. .txt extension).

  New York State Newspapers In New York State Newspapers: Mark desired records. At top of page, click on 'Marked Items', then click on 'Citation Tools'. Under 'Export to third party software' select 'EndNote' and click on 'Export' and then click on 'Save'.
In Endnote: Exports directly into EndNote.

  Nineteenth Century Masterfile In Nineteenth Century Masterfile: Mark desired records. In the lefthand frame, click on 'Download'. A popup window will appear (make sure popup blockers are turned off), select 'EndNote Tagged Format' and then click on 'Download'. Save the file as a Text file (i.e. .txt extension). Note: you will need to download the Nineteenth Century Masterfile filter from http://www.indiana.edu/~librcsd/endnote/filters/xjg19thCentMasterfile.enf
In Endnote: Open EndNote. Using 'File: Import' import saved text file using 'xjg19thCentMasterfile' filter.

  NTIS In NTIS: Select references. In Reference Manager at bottom of results, choose 'Fields' desired and choose 'Direct Export' under Result Format. Then choose 'Save' under 'Actions'. Make sure 'Export results to Endnote, Procite, or Reference Manager' radio button is selected. Click 'Continue'. Choose desired EndNote library and click on 'Open'.
In Endnote: Exports directly into EndNote.
