On February 7 2014 the Wooden Cities New Music Collective will present the first concert produced from funds provided by the Muriel Wolf and Albert Steger Endowment. Muriel and Albert established the endowment to produce concerts of music by composers who were either from or resided in Buffalo. An exhibit commemorating the concert is on display in the Music Library.
Wooden Cities has crafted a program that combines works from the Music Library archives as well as by members of the ensemble and faculty member Jeffrey Stadelman. It is an excellent representation of what Muriel and Albert had in mind when they designed the endowment.
The concert is free and will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday February 7, 2014 in Lippes Concert Hall in Slee Hall on UB’s North Campus.
