Bar exam wishes and Law Library hours

Posted on: | by Nancy Babb |

The Law Library is cheering and supporting everyone taking the Bar Exam — you’ve studied hard; you’re well prepared; and you’ll do the best that you can do!

The Law Library will be open today, Monday, July 24th, until 9:00 pm, to support ongoing study.

New Law Library late summer hours will begin on Tuesday, July 25th.

Goodbye spring and hello summer!

The spring semester has ended, with summer approaching and bar study here.  The Law Library will be closed during commencement weekend, Saturday, May 20-Sunday, May 21.  Our schedule for the start of summer will then be:

Summer Session I (Bar study) – May 22-July 24**

Monday-Thursday:  9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Friday:  9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday:  Closed

**Exceptions to Regular Hours

Memorial Day, Monday, May 29:   Closed
Monday, July 3:   9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Independence Day, Tuesday, July 4:   Closed
Day before Bar Exams, Monday, July 24:   9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

As the Library’s shifting project continues into the summer, we’re also making some adjustments to quiet study spaces to better accommodate students studying for the bar. Beginning Monday, May 22:

  • Floors 2, 5, and 6 will be designated for quiet study;
  • Floor 3 will be open but expect noise;
  • Floor 4 will be closed.

We anticipate that floor 6 will also be closed as the project progresses and will post updates at that time.

As always, floor 7 is a Law Student-only quiet reading room.

Congratulations to all graduates and continuing students!
