Classic Catalog Downtime

The Classic Catalog will be unavailable on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 6:00AM – 6:30AM and on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 5:30AM – 7:00AM for system maintenance.

The Library Catalog will be available. However, item and circulation information will not display during this time. Course Reserve lists also will not display during this outage.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Problem Accessing HUBNET Resources using UBITs

There is a problem with the UB Active Directory which verifies UBITs.  HUBNET is working with CIT to resolve the issue. 

NOTE: This does not affect those on the UB campus using an IP network connection (nor those at hospitals accessing their hospital menu of HUBNET resources). 

Work-around for accessing UB HUBNET menu onsite at UB from a Wi-Fi connection: 

At the bottom of the left column, you will see “Create an account”.  Create an account using your UBIT name and password and your UB email — select “University at Buffalo” from the “Affiliation” drop down box.   You will then have access to the University HUBNET resources.   

Work-around for accessing UB HUBNET menu from offsite (e.g. home, office): 

Go to the HUBNET Website Home Page —- http://hubnet.buffalo.edu 

At the bottom of the left column, create an account (you must be offsite to do this).  Create an account using your UBIT name and password and your UB email — select “University at Buffalo” from the “Affiliation” drop down box.   You will then have access to the University HUBNET resources.   

Work-around for accessing UB HUBNET menu from a HOSPITAL:  

Open the HUBNET resource menu page.  At the bottom of the left column, select link below “UB HUBNET menu available with UBIT login”.  Create an account using your UBIT name and password and your UB email — select “University at Buffalo” from the “Affiliation” drop down box.   You will then have access to the University HUBNET resources.

ProQuest Downtime

Over the weekend of Saturday, 20-21 Aug. 2016, a ProQuest product maintenance window will launch to upgrade infrastructure, enhance security and maintain product reliability. The window is scheduled to begin Saturday at 10:00 p.m. (EDT) and run through Sunday at 6:00 a.m.

During this 8-hour window, the following products will be unavailable:

ProQuest platform (search.proquest.com)

Including:

ProQuest Congressional

Chadwyck-Healy US Databases

eLibrary (all editions)

ProQuest Digital Microform

Sanborn Maps
