The Feb. 16, 1962, issue of UB’s 
Spectrum student newspaper included front-page headlines that announced visits to UB by two prominent Cold War-era political figures. UB’s Student Senate Convocations Committee had invited Henry A. Kissinger to speak to students, faculty and staff on the topic of “American Policy and Disarmament,” and during that same week, Republican Sen. Barry Goldwater of Arizona visited UB to address a convocation in Clark Gym…….
