Appropriate sources will vary from discipline to discipline. However, some broad categories include:

• Bibliographies and specialized guides to specific disciplines published either as monographs, articles, or web guides
• Journals in the discipline (if you wish to have a journal routed to you, ask the Director of Collections)
• Publishers' and approval plan vendors' Web sites, particularly GOBI (Yankee)
• Choice Magazine (reviews are online via subscription)
• Online Review Sources (<--click here for a list of sources)
• Brochures and advertisements
• Library catalogs of other universities with similar strengths and interests; new acquisitions lists from other libraries may prove useful
• Union Catalogs (OCLC WorldCat, RLIN, etc.)
