>Memberships in the Libraries in BISON Staff Mode

We have records set up for all memberships (we know about) that the library has. These records contain the titles we receive on the membership, and the attached OPRs (order Pay Receipt records) provide the fund and the payment amounts. Please note that these records are visible in staff mode only.

These records are all set up with the title: GL membership (General Libraries). There is an author entry for the organization, and the 580 fields contain the titles and BISON numbers for these publications we receive as part of the membership. The 580 fields are not searchable.

You can locate a membership in two way (assuming you are in LTGL):

1. Do a JT=gl membership (title search)
Then scroll through the index to locate the organization you are interested in.

2. Do a JA=(Corporate Body) (author search)
Then scroll through the index to locate an entry with the title GL membership.

Payment:
Select the record you want to look at. To see the payment you must view the OPR. From the HLDG (F5) screen, type DOR 1 (Display Order Record), in most cases there is just 1 order, you may need to DOR 2 for another copy.

OPRs for titles received on a membership should contain a note that such is the case, the fund field should be blank, and the field XPM should have a value of "q" (for paypment made elsewhere). The BISON number should appear on the OPR.

Titles:
To find out what titles come on the membership, you need to view the bibliographic record screen BIBL (F6). The field tagged 580 contains the individual titles and the BISON numbers.
